You know that awkward moment when you realize that you made the worst looking cookie at the cookie swap? I do.
Last night was the 4th annual cookie swap and I now have a dozen of each of the cookies pictured here. Just like in year's past, my plan is to donate the cookies to the CD102.5 Andyman-A-Thon volunteers, but in the name of research, David and I tasted all 10 cookies to determine the cookie of the year. It's hard work people. And of all 10 cookies, we both agreed that this year's winner was... drum roll please... Alicia's Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites. Imagine a buckeye with pretzel pieces mixed in with the peanut butter. It was pretty outrageous! Alicia was nice enough to share her recipe here.
Another thing I should mention is that while everyone wants to make delicious cookies, there's also an unspoken contest going on for the best cookie presentation. Take Kristy's penguin sugar cookies for example. I mean just look at these cookies and this box. Thank you Kristy for once again raising the bar on our little cookie swap.
And check out this cake pop and chocolate covered pretzel. My friend Megs recruited a lovely lady to this year's swap named Tasha Amigo. Tasha owns Tasha's Treats, a bakery in Dublin, Ohio where she sells delicious cupcakes and treats. So yeah, now we've got professional bakers in the swap group. Can't wait to do it again next year!
